Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to registrations for WSO2Con USA 2014 (“Conference”) to be held on the 27th, 28th and 29th of October 2014, in San Francisco and organized by WSO2 Inc. (“WSO2”).
For the purposes of these terms and conditions a “Registrant” shall be defined as any individual who has completed the registration process for and thereby been confirmed as a delegate to the Conference.
All Registrants will be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”):
Conference Registration
- Information on the process of registration for the Conference forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Registration for the Conference is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- Registration for the Conference shall commence on 4th August and will close on 28th October 2014 (“Closing Date”)
- In order to register for the Conference, an individual must visit http://us14.wso2con.com/ and follow the instructions provided therein.
- Upon completion of registration for the Conference the Registrant will receive from WSO2 an automated confirmation email with the confidential login details required to log into their individual Oxygen Tank (“OT”) account. Registrants shall also be able to use their OT account login details for the purposes of accessing the WSO2 Mobile App for the duration of the Conference, on their Android and iOS mobile devices.
- Upon request, WSO2 will send the Registrant an automated email invoice for payment of the registration fee [“Fee”] applicable to all Registrants of the Conference.
- Registrants are required to complete payment of the Fee on or before 28th October 2014.
[Terms and Conditions related to payment of the Fee can be found here] - Upon request, WSO2 will send the Registrants an email with a confirmation letter for the purposes of processing visas to attend the Conference in San Francisco.
Profile Pages
- Registrants acknowledge and accept that the information they provide at the time of registration for the Conference to set up their OT account will be used by WSO2 to create an online account profile page (“Profile Page”) for each Registrant. Each Profile Page will be directly linked to all activities and promotions related to the Conference.
- Registrant Profile Pages will be accessible at http://us14.wso2con.com/ from the 12th August 2014.
- Each Registrant is required to update his/her Profile Page with current and accurate information for the required fields provided therein.
- Registrants acknowledge and accept that Profile Pages cannot be edited after the Closing Date and the information they provide on their Profile Pages at the end of the Closing Date is deemed by WSO2 to be final.
- Once on the Profile Page, Registrants must provide requested information, which shall be used by WSO2 at their discretion to provide Conference merchandise better suited to each individual Registrant.
- All Conference merchandise shall be provided based on the information provided on each individual Registrant’s Profile Page as at the end of the Closing Date.
- Registrants acknowledge and accept that they have the option of providing their contact information as given in their OT accounts to sponsors of the Conference. Such sponsors may then provide Registrants with announcements and other promotional material relating to the sponsorship activities carried out by them in respect of the Conference. Provision of contact information to sponsors of the Conference is not mandatory.
Conference Pass
- Upon registration for the Conference, Registrants will be provided with a Conference Pass (“Pass”), which will be directly linked to their OT accounts. Each Participant is required to use (“Swipe-In”) their assigned Pass to enter various venues and booths at the Conference.
[For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, to “Swipe In” shall mean to swipe the Conference Pass through/before an electronic reader at locations that require such identification in order to authorize entry.] - Registrants acknowledge and accept that the information provided by them when they Swipe-in shall be used to track Swipe-Ins at the Conference.
General
- Registrants hereby warrant that all information submitted by them upon registration to the Conference is true, accurate and complete in every respect. WSO2 takes no responsibility for miscommunications based on inaccurate information.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, WSO2 hereby excludes and shall not have any liability to any Registrant in connection with or arising out of the Conference and registration for the Conference howsoever caused, including (without limitation) for any claims, losses, costs, expenses and damages, provided that nothing herein shall operate so as to limit or exclude WSO2’s liability for personal injury or death caused by a proven act of negligence.
- Except as specifically set out herein and to the maximum extent permitted by law, all conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law are hereby excluded.
- The information supplied by Registrants when registering for the Conference will be used by WSO2 in accordance with the privacy policy at http://wso2.com/privacy-policy and shall only be used for the sole purposes of the Conference and shall not be used for any other purposes. All Registrants may opt to have their details removed from our database by contacting WSO2. If details are removed prior to the conclusion of the Closing Date for registrations for the Conference, Registrants will however forfeit their right to be considered for promotional activities and merchandise related to the Conference.
- WSO2 reserves the right to amend or replace these Terms and Conditions without notice and without any liability. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be notified to Registrants as soon as possible by WSO2.
- A failure by WSO2 to enforce any one of these Terms and Conditions at any time will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Registrant, nor shall it be deemed to be a waiver of any of rights in relation to the same.
- In the event that any provision of these Terms and Conditions are held to be illegal, invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
- These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws California, without giving effect to the principles of conflict of laws and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the laws of California.
WSO2Con USA 2014 “Tell A Friend” Competition
The “Tell A Friend” Competition for WSO2Con USA 2014 (“Competition”) is a promotional activity offered by WSO2 Inc. (“WSO2”) in respect of WSO2Con USA 2014 held in San Francisco, USA from the 27th to the 29th of October 2014 (“Conference”). Those entering this Competition will be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”):
- Participation in this Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- This Competition commences on the 7th August 2014 and will close on 25th October 2014 (“Competition Period”) and entries received after this will not be accepted. WSO2 reserves the right to alter the Closing Date at any time.
- Employees of WSO2 (including employees of any of WSO2’s affiliated companies) or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the Competition or helping to set up the Competition shall not be permitted to enter the Competition.
- To be eligible to enter this Competition, an individual must be a confirmed registrant of the Conference (“Entrant”) who has received from WSO2 a confirmation email after following the registration process found on the Conference page.
- Upon the receipt of successful registration, Entrants will be taken to a web page acknowledging their registration for the Conference. Once on the acknowledgment web page, Entrants will have an option to share an announcement of being a confirmed registrant of the Conference on their preferred social media website profile page. This can be achieved by selecting one of the three (03) social media website buttons provided on the acknowledgment web page.
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a “button” shall be defined as a small outlined area inclusive of a particular social media website logo in a dialog box that can be clicked to select an option or command. - Upon selecting the preferred social media button, Entrants must allow a notification of registration (“Notification”) to be posted directly on the selected social media website profile page inclusive of the following tagline, which shall be automatically placed on the profile page with the Notification: “I just registered for #WSO2ConUSA! You should check it out too!
- Entrants must allow the Notification to be posted directly to their preferred social media profile page and must allow such Notification to be visible to friends on their profile pages.
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “friends” are persons who have been added to an Entrant’s network on a social media website. - WSO2 assumes no responsibility for entries lost, delayed or corrupted due to computer error or otherwise.
- Each Entrant warrants and agrees that she/he will not submit material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, derogatory, abusive, harmful to any person or entity, or otherwise inappropriate or offensive in relation to the Notification posted on their profile page.
- Entrants acknowledge that the social media website profile page on which the Notification is shared on shall be considered the Entrant’s profile for the purposes of this Competition.
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Competition.
- There shall be one (01) winner selected by WSO2 and the winner shall be announced at the Conference on the 29th October,2014]. The winner shall be entitled to a GoPro Camera, Silver edition.
- WSO2 reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Entrant who WSO2 has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, or is engaged in any unlawful, indecent or other improper conduct. In the event that a winner is disqualified from the Competition, WSO2 may select an alternative winner in the same manner as the original winner and such selection will be subject to these Terms and Conditions.
- WSO2 reserves the right to cancel the Competition or in any way amend or replace these Terms and Conditions without notice and without any liability. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be notified to Entrants as soon as possible by WSO2.
- No cash or other alternative to the prize will be offered. The prize is not transferable.
- Winners will be chosen at random from all entries received and verified by WSO2 and or its agents.
- The winner will be notified on the 29th October,2014, at the Conference. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not present during the announcement, WSO2 shall contact the winner via their preferred social media network.
- The winner must, at the WSO2’s request, participate in all Competition related promotional activity (such as publicity and photography), free of charge, and consent to WSO2 using his/her name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of him/her) in promotional material in any media at any time without notification or compensation, financial or otherwise.
- Entrants hereby warrant that all information submitted by participating in this Competition is true, accurate and complete in every respect. WSO2 takes no responsibility for miscommunications based on inaccurate information.
- Entrants’ information is collected by or on behalf of WSO2 to enable WSO2 and its agents to manage, administer and promote the Competition and, where applicable, publicize the winner. Such information may also be provided to third parties providing services to WSO2, including (without limitation) prize suppliers and deliverers, marketing agencies and IT providers, media outlets and related companies. By participating in the Competition, Entrants consent to these uses and disclosures of their personal information.
- All of WSO2’s decisions in relation to all aspects of this Competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Failure by WSO2 to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. In the event that any provision of these Terms and Conditions are held to be illegal, invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, WSO2 hereby excludes and shall not have any liability to any Entrant or winner in connection with or arising out of the Competition howsoever caused, including for any costs, expenses, damages and other liabilities, provided that nothing herein shall operate so as to limit or exclude WSO2’s liability for personal injury or death caused by a proven act of negligence.
- Except as specifically set out herein and to the maximum extent permitted by law, all conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law are hereby excluded.
- The personal information supplied by Entrants when entering the Competition will be used by WSO2 in accordance with the privacy policy at http://wso2.com/privacy-policy. All Entrants may have their details removed from our database by contacting WSO2. If details are removed prior to the conclusion of the Competition and/or award of the prize, Entrants will however forfeit their right to be considered for the prize.
- These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws California, without giving effect to the principles of conflict of laws and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the laws of California.
